Discipleship is something you grow into.

A gospel that skips the cross is not just incomplete. It is actively opposed to everything Jesus came to accomplish.

Peter's faith was real. His love for Jesus was genuine. But his understanding was dangerously incomplete.

Suffering without resurrection is tragedy. The cross without the empty tomb is defeat. But together? Together they are the greatest victory in history. 

Jesus does not ask questions because He lacks information. He asks because you need clarity.

Discipleship is not a one-time moment. It is a lifelong process of seeing more and more of who God is.

Jesus responded with one of the most loaded questions in all of Scripture: "Do you not yet understand?"

They enjoyed the provision and ignored the Provider.

Godly behavior is only based on God's Word, not our preferences, not our traditions, and not our bank accounts.

We live in a show-me culture. We want receipts, data, and hard evidence before we commit to anything. The Pharisees were no different.  

Every time you return to Him weak, uncertain, or forgetful, He does not remind you of how many times you have been here before. He just shows up and does it again.

Whether you are spiritually lost and need truth, or physically worn down and need provision, He recognizes your need and responds to it with purpose.

Jesus is showing His disciples that every good thing they deliver to others comes from His hands first. The credit belongs to the Creator, not the carrier.

We waste years trying to fix things that are outside our ability to fix. We exhaust ourselves managing situations that were never ours to manage.

He does not tell the crowd to go home and come back when they have their lives together. He meets them exactly where they are: hungry, tired, and far from home.

You are not an abandoned project. You are not a half-finished miracle. You are in the hands of a Savior who has done all things well, and He is not finished with you yet.

Disobedience is disobedience, even when the motive seems understandable. 

Whatever has had you bound, whatever shame, habit, or fear has functioned like chains in your life, Jesus came to break it.

Mark is not just telling a miracle story. He is showing us that Jesus is the fulfillment of that ancient promise.

Sometimes the greatest gift we give someone is simply getting them in front of the Savior.
