"If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9
Before the resurrection, the death of Christ was seen as a scandal. An embarrassment.
How could the Messiah end up on a Roman cross?
But after the empty tomb, everything flipped. That death became the core of the message.
Every sermon in Acts orbited around it. Every letter in the New Testament points back to it.
The transfigured Son of God is also the slain Lamb of God. You cannot have one without the other.
There is no crown without the cross, no glory without the grave, no gospel without the resurrection.
This is the truth that changes everything.
Jesus did not just teach good principles. He died for your sin and rose to defeat death.
Because of that, forgiveness is real.
Because of that, salvation is available.
Because of that, you do not have to face eternity as a child of wrath.
The resurrection is not a footnote. It is the foundation. And your faith stands on it.
Share the gospel with one person this week.
Not a vague "Jesus loves you," but the full message: He died for sin, He rose from the grave, and faith in Him brings salvation.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that the cross was not the end. Thank You that the empty tomb proved Your power over death. I believe Jesus is Lord and that You raised Him from the dead. Let that truth be the anchor of my life and the message on my lips. In Jesus' name, Amen.
