Doing The Will Of God

“For whoever does the will of God, this is My brother, and sister, and mother.”
Mark 3:35

Jesus made it clear: "Whoever does the will of God, he is My brother and sister and mother." But what exactly does it mean to do God's will?

Many people assume they're close to God based on church attendance, good deeds, or family heritage.

But Jesus consistently taught one central message: "Repent and believe in the gospel" (Mark 1:15).

This is the will of God. It's not about earning your way into God's family through good works or religious activity.

It's about recognizing your need for salvation and placing your faith in Christ alone.

Those who do God's will are those who come to Him in repentance and faith.

This isn't about perfect behavior or flawless church attendance. It's about acknowledging your sin, believing in Christ's sacrifice, and surrendering your life to Him.

Stop trusting in anything other than Christ for your salvation. If you've been relying on family connections, good deeds, or religious activities, surrender those false securities today.

Place your complete trust in Jesus' finished work on the cross.

Prayer:

Lord, forgive me for trying to earn what You freely offer. I confess that I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose again. I surrender my life to You and choose to follow You. Thank You for making me part of Your eternal family. In Jesus' name, Amen.
