The Power of Being with Him

"And He appointed twelve, so that they would be with Him and that He could send them out to preach.”
Mark 3:14

Before Jesus sent the disciples out to change the world, He required something simple yet profound: time with Him.

Ministry flows from intimacy, not activity.

Notice the order in this verse. First, they would be with Him. Then, they could be sent out.

Jesus understood that you cannot give what you do not have. These men needed to observe His character, learn His heart, and understand His mission before they could represent Him effectively.

This principle applies to every believer today. We live in a culture that values doing over being, but Jesus modeled the opposite.

The most powerful thing you can do for the kingdom is spend time with the King.

When people encounter you, they should sense that you've been with Jesus.

Evaluate your daily schedule. Are you spending more time doing things for God or being with God?

Commit to 15 minutes of uninterrupted time with Jesus today.

Prayer:

Father, forgive me when I get so busy serving You that I forget to simply be with You. Help me prioritize our relationship above all the religious activities. Transform my heart as I spend time in Your presence. Amen.
