The Gospel Never Shrinks

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”
Romans 1:16

The story in Mark 7 points to something Paul would later put into words: the gospel is for everyone.  

It doesn't shrink to fit cultural preferences, and it doesn't expand to compromise truth.  

It is what it is, the power of God for salvation, full stop. 

The woman in Tyre didn't receive a lesser gospel because she was a Gentile. She received the same grace, the same power, the same Jesus.  

That's the miracle within the miracle.  

The gospel doesn't come in different versions for different people.  

It arrives the same way every time: through faith, received with humility, and demonstrated in transformed lives. 

We live in a moment when it's tempting to soften the message or shuffle the priorities. But the gospel is most powerful exactly as it is.  

It doesn't need our help to be relevant. It needs our courage to be proclaimed. 

You carry something the world desperately needs.  

Don't shrink it.  

Don't dress it up so much that the cross becomes invisible.  

Speak it clearly, live it faithfully, and trust that God's Word will accomplish what He sent it to do. 

Share the gospel with someone this week. It doesn't have to be a long conversation. It can be a short word, a personal story, or a question that opens the door.  

Just be faithful with what you've been given. 

Prayer:

Father, I am not ashamed of the gospel. Give me the courage to say so with my words and my life. Use me this week to carry Your truth to someone who needs it. In Jesus' name, Amen.
