Sight Restored, One Step At A Time

"And he looked up and said, 'I see men, for I see them like trees, walking around.' Then again He laid His hands on his eyes; and he looked intently and was restored, and began to see everything clearly.”
Mark 8:24–25  

This healing is unlike any other in the Gospels. It happened in two stages.  

Jesus touched the blind man's eyes and vision came partially. Then He touched him again, and the man saw everything clearly.  

This is the only miracle of Jesus that unfolded gradually, and that is no accident. 

Sometimes God heals, restores, and transforms in an instant. And sometimes He does it in stages.  

Not because He lacks power, but because the process matters.  

The blind man was not failed by a partial miracle. He was being walked into full restoration one step at a time. 

Your spiritual growth works the same way. You will not wake up tomorrow with perfect faith, perfect clarity, and perfect obedience.  

But if you keep returning to Jesus, if you keep letting Him lay His hands on your blind spots, the picture will get clearer.  

Discipleship is not a one-time moment. It is a lifelong process of seeing more and more of who God is. 

Do not despise the partial. Do not lose heart in the in-between.  

Jesus does not abandon His work halfway through.  

He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion. 

Reflect on an area of your walk with God where you feel like you are only halfway there.  

Instead of frustration, choose gratitude for how far He has already brought you, and ask Him to continue the work.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You that You do not give up on me when I am only partially healed or partially grown. Keep working in me. I trust Your hands, Your timing, and Your process. Finish what You started. Amen.
