Holy Tuesday
"Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him."
Mark 11:22-23
God still moves mountains today.
The disciples were about to face the darkest days of their lives.
Judas would betray Jesus.
Peter would deny Him.
The rest would scatter.
Jesus prepared them to trust God's ultimate plan and embrace the radical forgiveness He was about to secure on the cross.
Later that same day, the religious leaders challenge Jesus in the temple. They demand to know who gave Him the authority to overturn their money tables.
Jesus refuses to play their political games.
He traps them with a question about John the Baptist, exposing that they care more about protecting their own system than finding the truth.
The lesson for us is clear. Jesus does not share His authority.
He does not take sides. He comes to take over.
We cannot place anything else on the throne of our lives alongside Him.
Prayer:
Lord, give us the kind of faith that moves mountains. When we face confusing or impossible situations, help us to trust Your power and Your plan. Amen.
